It is with great sadness that the family of the late ALFRED TARRANT of Lawn, NL, announces his passing at Dartmouth General Hospital in Dartmouth, NS, on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the age of 79. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Catherine of 52 years; Sons – Todd Tarrant of Chester Grant, NS & Frank Beals of Halifax, NS; Daughters – Annette (Robert Clarke) of Arkansas, USA & Lisa O’Keefe of Cow Bay, NS; Sisters – Ellen Wagner of New Jersey, Lydia (Dave) Drake of St. John’s & Winnifred Tarrant of St. John’s; Brothers – Norman (Edith) Tarrant of Niagara Falls & Benjamin Tarrant (Gladys Tobin) of Lawn; 7 Grandchildren – Philip, Michael, Christina, Rachelle, Alexandrea, Jennifer, & Ashley; 7 Great-Grandchildren – Aiden, Jayden, Kayden, Austin, Alfred, Abigail & Clare; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Pre-deceased by Parents – Nicholas & Victoria Tarrant, Son – William Beals, Brothers – John, Vince & Leo Tarrant & Sister – Bibianna Tobin.

Visitation to take place from Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Lawn on Friday, July 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil Service will take place on Friday, July 12, at 8:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, July 13, at 1:30 p.m. from Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Cemetery. In Alfred’s memory donations may be made to Holy Name of Jesus Renovation Fund.
