IAN MACINTYRE
CARD OF THANKS
Mere words cannot express the gratitude we feel towards our relatives, friends and neighbors for the support and kindness shown to us during a very difficult time. To those special people who were always ready to lend a helping hand during Ian’s illness we will be forever grateful. The phone calls, visits to our home, gifts of food, on-line condolences, mass and sympathy cards, enrollments, flowers, gift cards, charitable donations in Ian’s memory and other acts of kindness will not be forgotten and we thank you sincerely for your thoughtfulness. Your visits to the funeral home and attendance at the funeral mass meant a great deal to us. To the concelebrants of mass, Father Peter, Father Jake and Father Sandy, thank you for a most uplifting ceremony. Father Peter’s homily left us with a feeling of serenity and the beautiful music of the organist and choir touched our hearts. Thank you to the readers, Eucharistic Ministers, altar servers and gift bearers who did their jobs so well. To the pallbearers who carried Ian, a heartfelt thank you. He would have been happy to know that some of his closest friends walked with him on his final journey. Thank you to the CWL who travelled to Georges River and provided such an excellent lunch. Thanks must also go to Dr. Kohlsmith for his care of Ian over the years and to his receptionist, Karen, who has always been so pleasant and helpful. We are also very appreciative of the nurses who cared so compassionately for Ian and the ladies who sat with him during his hospital stays. Thank you to Palliative Care for their advice when needed. We have a special place in our hearts for the wonderful staff and volunteers at Harbour View Seniors’ Day Program who treated Ian so well and added enjoyment to his life. Last, but not least, our gratitude goes out to Bobby and staff at Francis Funeral Home for the support and guidance we received. We feel truly blessed to know so many wonderful people. God bless you all.
