Vivian Marie Tobin-Macdonald

TOBIN-MacDONALD, Vivian Marie – 62, Truro, passed away peacefully, with her friend Sandy Mellish at her side, on Wednesday afternoon, July 3, 2013, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born October 25, 1950, in Truro, she was a daughter of the late George and Helen (Lank) Tobin. Vivian is survived by her son, Carmen Yorke, Lamont, Alberta; sisters, Stella Tobin, Marsha “Faye” Tobin, British Columbia; brother, Michael Tobin, British Columbia; several nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends and her extended family at the Friendship Club, of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Truro (Especially Susan Henderson and Vivian's personal worker, Susan King.) Along with her parents, Vivian was predeceased by her first husband, Roger Yorke; sister, Shelley Tobin-Toms. Visitation will be held 1-1:45 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2013, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church (Our Lady’s Chapel), 669 Prince Street, Truro, followed by the funeral mass at 2 p.m., Father Francesco Pirisi officiating. Reception will follow in Campbell Hall. Interment to follow in Bible Hill Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Vivian’s memory may be made to Canadian Mental Health Association, Truro Branch (Friendship Club) are welcomed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
