The death occurred at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home on Sunday, August 10, 2008, of Robert Metlin, veteran of the Korean War, formerly of Mayfield, P.E.I., and Coldbrook, N.S., in his 76th year. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Shirley; his three children, Margaret (Mike) Morine, Sackville, N.S.; Latham, Waterville, N.S., and Belinda (Brent) Mullay, Mayfield, P.E.I.; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Patrick, Martine, Daniel, Emma, Meghan, Travis and Candace; and three great- grandchildren, Nickoli, Mackenzie and Jorja. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, P.E.I., for visitation on Saturday, August 16 from 1:15 p.m - 1:45 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
