BEACH, Grace Elizabeth (Medicraft) It is with saddened hearts we announce the death of Grace Elizabeth Beach, aged 80 at Valley Regional Hospital on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. She was born in South Alton to her parents the late Dolly Agnes (DeAdder) (Hamm) and Russell Reid Medicraft. She was a member of the South Alton Baptist Church where in the past she taught Sunday School and was a member of the South Alton Fellowship Club. She was also a past member of the South Alton Ladies Auxiliary and South Alton Community Hall Association. Grace will be sadly missed by her loving family, daughter Gail and son-in-law Bruce Veinot, North Alton; her grandson Scott Veinot and wife Cathy and great grandson Finley, Halifax; granddaughter Laura and husband Brian Leahy, North Alton. Grace is also survived by sisters Ethel (William) Wellwood, Wirral, New Brunswick; Margaret LeBlanc, South Alton and half-sister Ellen Turbitt, New Minas; brothers Gerald (Iris) and Ralph both of South Alton; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Grace was predeceased by her husband Earl Basil Beach (2008), brother Everett and half-brothers Cecil Hamm, James Hamm and Wilson Hamm. Visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013 in the White Family Funeral Home Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, Reverend Rick Small officiating. Family burial took place at the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Grace may be made to the C.N.I.B., the Valley Hospice Foundation or the charity of your choice.
