The death occurred at the home of her daughter and son-in-law on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, of Muriel E. Ward of Stanhope and formerly of Charlottetown, age 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Robert Douglas Ward. Mother of Robert, Douglas (predeceased), Marilyn (Allen) Stoolmiller, Philip (Jane), and Christopher. Grandmother of Margot, Marilyn, Victoria, Roberta, Matthew and Michael. Great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Laura, Rita, Dorothy, Marie, Dave, William, Frederick and Arthur. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel for visiting hours on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A private family service will be held on Friday. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
