RECTOR, Marion Edith – 81, Central Onslow, formerly of Truro, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday morning, July 11, 2013, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Born May 8, 1932, in Montrose, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Irene (Grant) Fletcher. Marion is survived by her husband, Joseph Seaman “Joe” Rector; daughter, Cheryl Vaughan (Wayne Woodworth), Onslow; sons, Terry (Glenda), Leonard (Kary Muise), Bible Hill; Steven (Denise), Crowes Mills; loving grandchildren, Mandi, Michelle, Sarah, Joseph, Nicole, Mitchell, Allan, Matthew, Brandon, Alexis, Heather; sisters, Eva Wallace, Rexdale, Ontario; Helen (Roy) Collier, Bedford; brother, Ralph (Barbara) Fletcher, Truro; sisters-in-law, June Fletcher, Montrose; Sandi Galloway-Howell (Colin), Oakfield. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Inez Moore, Hazel Linkletter; brothers, Everett Fletcher, Lloyd Fletcher; brother-in-law, Bud Wallace. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Marion’s family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013, and where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2013, Reverend Dan Gunn officiating. Reception will follow. Interment in Peniel United Church Cemetery, Five Islands. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in Marion’s memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or McCulloch United Church are welcomed.
