Passed peacefully away at his home in Holyrood on Thursday, July 11, 2013, John Power, age 76 years. Leaving to mourn his great loss and continuing to celebrate his life are his wife, Margaret (St. Patrick’s Mercy Home), his three children: Peggy (George), John Jr., Loyola (Missy), his seven cherished grandchildren: Amy, Noah, Isaac, Simon, Logan, Linden and Lola, sisters: Marion (Hubert) Power, Margaret Nagle; brothers: Joe and Ray (Vale); sister-in-law Mary; and his uncle Pete (Betty); devoted and special friends Josephine Duggan and Tom Gorman; nieces and nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to Holy Cross Parish, Holyrood, St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Foundation or to the Alzheimer’s Society of Newfoundland and Labrador. Visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to take place on Monday, July 15, 2013 from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at SS.
