It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hannah Burton announce her passing on Tuesday, July 16th, 2013 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 97th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Marjorie Brake (Wilbur), Barbara Billard (Clarence), Bill (Nora), Edward (Barbara), Lorne (Betty), Marie Baldwin (Charles), Norma Barsi (Wayne) and Gary (Myrtle); 21 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred; grandchildren: Paula Burton and Colleen Pennell; brothers: George, Ernest, Arthur and Walter Power and parents, William & Alice Power. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 19th at 2:00 p.m. from Curling Memorial United Church with Marilyn Avery officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
