(August 17th, 1943 - July 6th, 2013)
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald John Hayes, age 69, formerly of Cape Broyle, at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre in Toronto on July 6th, 2013, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by parents: Martin and Bridget (O’Brien) Hayes. Leaving with many beautiful memories his long time partner, Sharina, who stayed by his side to the end giving care, comfort and love. Also members of Sharina’s family: Rosina (Kamal), Sony (Lolita) and their families; the Healey cousins: Eileen, Kitty, Mary, Cyril and Terry. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers: Gene (Patricia), Vince (Mary), Billy (Gen), Gerry (Glenda), his sister, Ceilie Ennis (John) and dear friend and sister, Joan (George). Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Funeral arrangements committed to Ryan’s Funeral Home in Bay Bulls. No visitation. Cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian burial from Immaculate Conception Church in Cape Broyle at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19th, 2013. Internment to follow at Our Lady of the Cape Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to The Power of Light or a charity of one’s choice.
