With heavy hearts the family of Peter Turner wishes to announce that he passed away suddenly in his sleep on July 21, 2013, at his home in Charlottetown. He was born Oct. 28, 1956, in Charlottetown. Peter is survived by his wife Louise (Dunphy-Doiron), daughter Mandy Hoyt (Jason), stepson Jeri Dunphy (Kristi), stepdaughter Lyndsay Doiron and his son Lucas as well as his granddaughter Ella Myers and grandson Alan Dunphy. Peter is also survived by his brothers David Turner, Paul Turner (Cheryl), Robert Turner (Gail), his two stepsisters Vicki MacDonald and Sherri Barker, his mother-in-law Marjorie Dunphy, his numerous nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-laws. He is predeceased by his parents, Margaret ‘Peg’ MacDonald and Lewis Turner, his stepfather Elmer ‘Tug’ MacDonald, as well as his nephew Stephen Turner. Peter was active in his community and served in the Winsloe Lions’ Club in a variety of capacities. He was also passionate about sports and his beloved trivia nights. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter’s name to the Lucas Turner Trust Fund. Peter will be resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until 3:15 p.m. Thursday then to St. Pius X for funeral mass at 3:30 p.m. Interment in the People’s Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday from 3:30 – 5:30 and 7-9 p.m.
