WHITE, JEANNIE MARIE, B.A., B.Ed., M.Ed., M.Ed. (ADMIN) - It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Jeannie White who passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, July 28, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born September of 1950 in North Sydney, NS, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Elsie (Miles) Mingo. Jeannie was a graduate of U.P.E.I., Mount St. Vincent and Acadia University. She was Vice Principal at Island View School, West Saint John, prior to her retirement in 2011. She had directed many musicals at Island View and had coordinated the provincial drama festival. Jeannie is survived by her husband of 38 years, Don White of Quispamsis; son, Jonathan (Hiromi) of Charlottetown, PEI; grandchildren, Austin and Lucy; sister, Debbie MacLean (Melvin) of Hilden, NS; brother, Bryan of Truro; nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Jeannie was predeceased by two sisters in infancy.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, July 30 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 2:00 pm, followed by a reception. Private family burial will take place at Floral Hills Cemetery in Richmond, NS at a later date.
