It is with great sadness that the family of the late Courtney Vater announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday July 24, 2013 at the Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto at the age of 20 months old. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her parents Susan Barnes and Cory Vater; grandparents Brian & Rita Barnes, Joanne Vater all of Frenchman's Cove; uncle Justin (Sandy) Barnes of York Harbour, Uncle Joseph Vater (Kelly Wheeler), Uncle Lenny Vater (Vanessa Young), and Aunt Melissa Vater (Walter Bulter), all of Frenchman's Cove; great grandparents Thomas and Elva Byrne of York Harbour, great grandmother Jean Buckle of Curling; as well as cousins, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather Patrick Vater and great grandparents Angus and Susan Barnes, Stanley Buckle, William John & Thrifena Vater. Cremation has taken place in Toronto. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Monday, July 29 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 30 2013 from the St. Ambrose’s Anglican Church in John's Beach at 2 p.m. with Rev Nelson Robert Joseph Chatman officiating.
