
Eloi Melanson
MELANSON, ELOI "TIPPY" - 1936 - 2013 - Eloi Melanson, 76, of Cocagne, passed away surrounded by loved ones at the Dr-Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Sunday, July 28th, 2013. Born in Cocagne on August 29th, 1936, he was the son of the late Donat and the late Édorine (Landry) Melanson. He is survived by his wife, Dorilla Richard; two daughters, Joline (Marc-André Arseneau) Melanson of Bathurst, Nicole (Jean-Marie) Gallant of Charlottetown; three grandsons, Alex and Cédric Gallant, Nicholas Arseneau; four sisters, Laura Allain (late Alcide) of Dieppe, Jeannine Daigle (late Joseph) of Dieppe, Léona Blandford (Max) of North York, Ontario, Doris Goguen (Ron) of Saint-Edouard de Kent, three brothers, Albert (Noella) of Dieppe, Bobby (Germaine) of Saint-Marie, Paul (Eileen) of Saint-Thomas de Kent, and many nephews and nieces. Eloi was predeceased by two sisters Zella, Anna and four brothers, Léandre, Joe, Jack and John. Eloi was a retired sheet metal worker and was a member of the Cocagne Golden Age Club.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and Friday, August 2, 2013 from 2:00pm to 3:45pm at the Pariosse Sainte-Pierre, 2000 Route 535, Cocagne, NB. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 immediately following the visitation at 4:00pm in the Parish chapel. In Eloi’s memory, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont Regional Hospital or the New Brunswick Canadian Cancer Society.
