ST. PAUL’S, Pictou County – Linda Jane Thompson, age 64 of St. Paul’s, Pictou County, went home to the Lord on Monday July 29, 2013 at home.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Dorothy (Harris) DeWolfe.
Linda took great pride and interest in her grandchildren and what they were doing. She proudly took on a project a few years ago and has knitted many dish cloths and cooked treats that she donated to be sold to raise money for cancer in Stellarton every month. Linda was an adherent of the Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years Hugh; daughters, Catherine (Bruce) Enfield, Blue Mountain; Melissa Thompson (Steve Leslie), Whitby, Ont.; grandchildren: Emily, Kirk, Storm, Katie Enfield; Spencer and Holden Leslie; a sister Sharon (Paul) Stetson, Marshfield, P.E.I.; a brother Laurence (Janet) DeWolfe, Halifax; a number of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son Leslie Michael on Feb. 14 ,1969.
We the family would like to mention a very dear and special friend of Linda’s over the last years who shared and uplifted Linda when she was down, thanks Irene MacGregor.
The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ryan King officiating. Burial will be in the Bridgeville Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Linda may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
