WENTWORTH, ELAINE - Elaine Mildred (Moses) Wentworth, 87, Enfield, NS, passed away on July 31, 2013 in her sleep after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Elaine was born in Blacks Harbour, NB, to the late Harry and Mabel (Justason) Moses on August 27th, 1925. She worked for many years in the Elmsdale post office before retiring and moving with her husband home to New Brunswick. After the passing of her husband, John, in 1990, she returned to Nova Scotia to be close to her family and enjoy their company. She is survived by her sons, John (Grace), Fairhaven, N.B.; Donald (Barbara), Dartmouth; Frank (Judy), Jamie (Sheila), both of Enfield; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Michael (Penny), Toronto, Ont. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by brothers, Joe, Harry, Donald, Bernard; sister, Florence. It is with great hope that she has joined her husband after missing him for nearly 23 years, as well as her grandson, Lee, who she had missed for nearly 12 years. The family extends special thanks to Shannex Debert Court and Magnolia Enfield for the care they provided.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. There will be no visitation or service by request, and Elaine will be laid to rest at a later date in Fairhaven.
