It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sister Carol, age 71, of Gabriola Island, BC, (formerly of Poplar St., New Glasgow) on July 10, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Carol was the daughter of the late Cecil and Roberta Lewis and the late Norman Thompson.
She is survived by her partner and soulmate, Avis O’Leary, Gabriola Island; brothers and sisters: Sheila MacDonald, Toronto; Howard (Jenny) Thompson, Alberta; Keith (Joan) Lewis, Chance Harbour; Kaye (Ken) Jarvis, Lower Sackville; Marlene Dawson, Ottawa; Doreen (Merle) Thomson, Bedford; Wendy Lewis (Brian Stone), Chance Harbour and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Avis and all Carol’s friends on Gabriola who gave her such loving care and comfort.
Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will take place at a later date.
The rocks of the coast are the foundation of our family. The waves of the ocean on the shore will never wear away our memories of you. You will always be loved, remembered and missed by your sisters and brothers. We love you Carol!
