THORNE, BUDD - 1933-2013 - Budd Thorne passed away peacefully at the K.E. Spencer Memorial Home on Thursday, August 1, 2013. He was born in Havelock, the son of the late Mont and Mottie (Carson) Thorne. Budd will be sadly missed by his wife, Shirley (Keith); his son, Rodney Thorne (Tracey Hickey) of Halifax; daughter, Heather Craig (Ralph) of Summerside, PE; four grandchildren, Tarah, Bailey, Lauren and Carson. Budd is also survived by one sister, Myrtle Ryder; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Budd was predeceased by one granddaughter, Caylene; and three siblings, Mildred Perry, Leo Thorne and Irene Frise.
Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Sunday, August 4 from 1 to 2:50 pm and will be followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 3:00 pm. A reception will take place in the Garden View Reception Room immediately after the service. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Budd's memory may be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or K.E. Spencer Memorial Home.
