THOMPSON, HAROLD - With sadness the family announces the passing of Harold Burpee Thompson, loving husband of 59 years to Arlyene (Brown) Thompson, which occurred on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at his residence. Born 1933 in Hardwood Ridge, NB, he was the son of the late Clarence and Hazel (McAllister) Thompson. Harold gave 37 years of dedicated service to CN Rail, retiring as a train dispatcher. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. In addition to his wife, Arlyene, he is survived by his son, Kevin (Margaret) Thompson of Saint John; daughter, Rhonda (Jack) Melanson of PE; grandchildren, Tricia Melanson and Sabrina, Melissa and Justin Thompson; great-grandchildren, Brendan and Aly Melanson; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Jana Lee Thompson; and brothers, Hazen "Barney" and Harry Thompson.
