Hélène LeBlanc
LeBLANC, HÉLÈNE - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Hélène, 100, wife of the late Willie LeBlanc. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Born August 27, 1913 in Saint-Maurice, Kent County, she was the daughter of the late Maxime and Émilienne (Bastarache) Savoie. Hélène raised a large family and was a caring homemaker. She loved children and until her passing was always happy to see her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren when they visited. She loved to knit, making hundreds of mittens and stockings for family and charity. Her tireless devotion to knitting was a year-round passion. She donated many boxes of children's mittens and stockings to the community Headstart organization. She will be forever remembered for her loving smile, spontaneous wit and devotion to her Catholic faith. She will be sadly missed by her 15 children: Louisa Pask of Saskatchewan, Marie-Lucie Feener (Greg) of Fredericton, Marguerite LeBlanc, Clarine McCain (Andre), Gillie (Helene), Elzée (Germaine), Raymond (Alice), Rhéal (Heather), Paul-Emile (Georgette) and Claude (Jacqueline), all of Moncton, Aurèle (Florence) of Dieppe, Jean-Paul (Jeannine), Ronald (Violette) and Normand (Jill), all of Ontario and Roméo (Dora) of Shediac. She will also be lovingly remembered by her 48 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marie Paquet (Normand) of Montreal; her brothers: Aldéric (Aldéa) of Bouctouche and Roger (Marie-Thérèse) of Saint-Thomas, NB. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Willie LeBlanc in 1978; a few infants; a daughter, Noëlla Després (Alonzo) in 2006; a son, Roger (Julie) in 2012; a granddaughter, Majella Bourgeois (André) in 2006; four sisters: Émelda, Annie, Rhéa and Jeannette; five brothers: Sylvain, Alfred, Émile, Irenée and Edgar. The family would like to extend its appreciation to the LeFurgey Residence staff and her extensive residence family. Here she enjoyed several years of extended health, affection and well-being.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only.
