Daniel John “Danny” Arnold - 16, of Welsford, Kings County, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Kentville, he was a son of John and Valerie (Redden) Arnold. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Brenton, Wolfville and Stephen, at home; maternal grandmother, Elva Redden, Windsor Forks; paternal grandparents, Robert and Ardythe Arnold, Grafton; uncle and aunt, Kerwin and Leah Arnold, Grafton; cousin, Jevon (Carrie) Arnold, Weston; extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Ellis Redden; an aunt, Carolyn Perry. Danny attended Central Kings Rural High School, where he had been active in many school activities, including band. He had been employed in the meat shop at Meadowbrook Farm Meat Market, slicing bacon and catering. He was an avid reader and enjoyed soccer and swimming. He was a member of 4-H and was involved with the Woodville Baptist Church Youth Group and later attended youth group in Black Rock. He had a genuine love for animals and will be sadly missed by his dog and special friend, Molly. Cremation has taken place. There was no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2013 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Pastors Tim and Christine Bigelow officiating. Burial took place in the East Black Rock Cemetery. Family flowers only, by request. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to their friends and the community for the overwhelming support during this difficult time. A special thank you to Jim and Margie Lamb and the staff of Meadowbrook Farm Meat Market (our extended family) for their care, compassion, support and kindness.
