NEW GLASGOW- Margaret Elizabeth “Marg” Foran, 94, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 17, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by her family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a foster daughter of the late Thomas Adam and Hannah Jane (MacLean) Fisher. She had been employed with the former Goodman Company and retired as credit manager from the former Halliday’s. Margaret was a member of Trinity United Church, New Glasgow. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great great-grandmother and friend.
Surviving are daughter, Bonnie (George) Butt, Dartmouth; sons, Wayne (Marilyn) Foran, Sussex, NB; Lloyd(Lois)Peartree, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Kelly Lee(Mark) Sloan, Kim(Mike)MacIinnis, George(Heather)Butt, Trinda Butt(Russell Nauffts), Nicholas(Nicole)Foran, Jonathan(Valri)Foran; great-grandchildren, Lloyd, Roland, Blaine MacInnis; Erika and Jared Sloan; Sarah and Nicole Butt; Emalie Foran; great great- grandsons, Landon and Owen MacInnis.
Besides her foster parents she was predeceased by her husband, Elisha Michael Foran and brother, Bill Reid.
There will be no visitation by request. A private graveside service will be held in Abercrombie Cemetery at a later date.
