It is with great sadness that the family of Ollie Abbott of Port au Bras announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Center on August 8th at the age of 81 years.
Leaving to mourn Siblings David Best (Lorraine) of Cox's Cove, Gilbert Best of Toronto, Betty McCarthy of Toronto, Jean Cooke (Greg) of BC, Emma Kennedy of Port au Bras, Fred Best (Trudy) of Cox's Cove, Billy Best (Rhoda) of Cox's Cove, Paul Best (Norma) of Toronto, Violet Rukutis (Kurt) of Petersburg, ON and Gregory Best of Toronto; special niece Trina Clarke (Scott) and family plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by mother Elizabeth Best and brothers John and Gordon Best.
Rev. Terry Caines officiated Funeral Service from St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Port au Bras Tuesday, August 13th at 2PM with interment following at Anglican Cemetery, Port au Bras.
Donations in his memory may be made to St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Port au Bras or flowers gratefully accepted.
Pall Bearers were Scott Clarke, Ambrose Abbott, Ernest Abbott, Joseph Abbott, George Abbott and Richard Dibbon.
