1920-2008 At the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Friday, June 20, 2008, of Blanche Mary (Gamble) Warren of Mill River East, age 88 years. Wife of the late Gordon E. Warren. Born June 20, 1920, she was the second oldest daughter of the late Bruce and Eva (nee MacDonald) Gamble of Cascumpec. She is survived by her only son, Blair and his wife Lorraine of Mill River East; two grandchildren, Maureen (John) Getson of Richmond and Kent Warren of Summerside; and two great-grandsons, Matthew Getson and Evan Getson. She is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Enid Clark of South Hadley, Mass.; Ralph Gamble of Thunder Bay, Ont.; Donald (Hazel) Gamble of Bowmanville, Ont.; and Elaine (Glen) Gamble of Whitby, Ont. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Gamble of Fortune Cove, Jean Gamble of Cascumpec, Anita Gamble of Unionvale, Wilna Warren of O'Leary and brother-in-law, William (Marion) Warren. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon in 2002; her parents and the following siblings: Merna Faloon, Alton, Hilda Smallman, Alden, Heber, Keith; and brothers-in-law, Fred Clark, Al Faloon, Norman Warren and Hilton (Susan) Hardy. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Her teaching career spanned 30 years and included schools at Cascumpec, Mill River, Rosebank, East Bideford, Dock, Alberton High and Hernewood. She retired in 1977. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Sunday afternoon from the Gordon Memorial United Church, Alberton, for funeral service at 2 p.m. Rev. John A.C. Wilson officiating. Interment to follow at the Bloomfield United Church Cemetery.
