In his 75th year, passed away peacefully with his sister and family by his side at the Guelph General Hospital, on Sunday, August 31, 2008. Born April 15, 1934, in Souris, P.E.I., to the late William Bushey and Christina Longphee. He will be sadly missed and forever in the hearts of his only sister, Ellen Jane Cheverie, and nieces Tina (Glen Andrews) Mary (Oswald Podhorny), Brenda (Tim MacLaughlin), Margaret (Rob Campbell), Sheila Cheverie (Dave Sine), Karen Cheverie, all of Ontario; Beverley Shreenan of Nova Scotia and nephews Louie Cheverie Jr. and David Cheverie, both of Ontario; as well as many great- and great-great-nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives in Hamilton, ON, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Peter was loved and cherished by the McCarty family and all who knew him. He touched and helped countless people with his long-time volunteer service. Peter is predeceased by his loyal and dear friend Rita Catherine McCarty, brother-in-law Louie Cheverie, nephew Francis Cheverie, and nieces Darlene Shirley, Catherine and Kelly Cheverie.
