DAVIS, LEONA - 1933 - 2013 - Leona Davis, 79, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Saturday, August 24th, 2013 at her residence. Born in Weisner, NB, she was the daughter of the late Henry and the late Mary Ann (née: Arsenault) Gauvin. Mrs. Davis loved playing bingo and bowling. She was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or de Dieppe and Sainte-Thérèse parish. She is survived by one daughter, Joanne (Timmy) Lewis of Riverview; one son, Henry Jr. (Paulette) of Grand-Barachois; four sisters: Corinne Gallant of Moncton, Edna LeBlanc of Dieppe, Marguerite (Harvey) Richard of Notre-Dame and Alice (John) Babin of Florida; two brothers: Edward (Stella) Gauvin of Florida and Henry (Barb) Gauvin of Dieppe; two grandchildren: Kimberley and Randy; two great grandchildren: Kaylie and C.J., as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry in 2002; one sister, Velma and also by one brother, Emile.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Thursday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Thursday, August 29th, 2013 at 11 am. Interment at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton, NB.
