STELLARTON – It is with great sadness we, the family of Beatrice Connors, age 93, announce her passing on Saturday, August 24th, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Westville, Beatrice was the youngest daughter of the late Alfred and Valentine Rondelet.
Beatrice was raised in Westville and spent her married life in Stellarton. She was a member of the Sharon St. John United Church. Beatrice enjoyed knitting and shared many of her products with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, Charles (Fran), Little Harbour Road, New Glasgow; Gordon (Linda), Birchwood Dr., New Glasgow; her grandchildren: Denise (Scott) Foote, Barrie, Ont.; Leigh Connors, St. John’s, Nfld; Beverly (Ian) Turner, Stellarton; Roger Connors, Toronto and Scott Connors, Birchwood Dr., New Glasgow; great-grandchildren: Geoffrey Foote, Sebastian and Francesca Turner, Noah and Kaleb Connors; a brother Wilfred Rondelet, Pictou; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Cyril F. Connors; sisters: Valentine (Vi) (Pat) Joudrey, Angeline (Angie) (Victor) Zugay, Josephine (Josie) (Cotton) Stewart and Alfredine (Joe) Butts.
The family will receive visitors from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Chapel,18 Acadia Ave., Stellarton. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Beatrice may be made to the Sharon St. John United Church, the Nova Scotia Alzheimer Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
