MOREHOUSE, VIOLET HOPE - Violet H. Morehouse of Zealand, NB passed away August 25, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Zealand, NB in 1929, she was a daughter of the late James and Edith (Brewer) Guiggey and wife of the late Elsworth L. Morehouse. Violet was a loving and devoted mother, nana and the perfect hostess, always offering visitors some of her great cooking as soon as they arrived at her home. She is survived by her children, Marion Bridgeo, Marie Brewer (Tim), Ashley Morehouse (Sharon), Donald Morehouse (Phyllis), Phillip Morehouse, Michael Morehouse, Perry Morehouse (Vickie) and Stanley Morehouse (Shirley), all of Zealand, NB; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandson; two sisters, Ethel Staples, Zealand, NB and Amber Staples, Fredericton, NB; two brothers, Floyd Guiggey (Lillian), Zealand, NB and John Guiggey (Lillian), Idaho, USA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Violet was predeceased by a son Gerald (Joey), grandchildren Christopher, Penny and Michelle, sisters Almina Brewer, Gladys Morehouse, Nellie Marquis and a brother, Wilmot Guiggey.
Visiting hours will be held at the Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church, 129 Upper Stone Ridge Road, Zealand, NB on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the church on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Carl and Evelyn Brewer and Terrance Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at the Hilltop Family Cemetery.
