OBITUARY
SHIRLEY LAURA (NEE SEWARD) HANN
March 7, 1941 – August 23, 2013
On Friday, August 23, 2013, Shirley Hann (72) passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre surrounded by her loving family. Born at Channel Port aux Basques, NL, she was the eldest daughter of the late James (Frances) Seaward. Shirley was an accountant with T.J. Hardy Co. PAB and Texaco Oil Co. Dartmouth, N.S., later became owner operator of a flower shop in Ship Harbour N.S. where she lived with her husband 39 years until they both retired. She was predeceased by her husband Berkley on January 1, 2006, father James Seaward, mother Frances Seaward, sisters-in-law Joan Seaward, Sharon Seaward, brothers-in-law James McLennon, George Hann, nieces Rhonda Seaward, (baby) Glenda Kendall, nephews Jason Seaward, (baby) James Osmond. Leaving to mourn with loving and precious memories her loving family; brothers William (Audrey) Seaward, Maxwell (Eleanor) Seaward, Robert Seaward, Eric (Lora) Seaward Seattle U.S., sisters Phyllis (Robert) Cox, Viola (Lloyd) Osmond of PAB, Donna-Lee (Lloyd) McGuire N.B., foster daughter Daisy Whynot (Donny), grandchildren: Raymond, Trisha, Tara, great-grandson Carson, sister and brother-in-law, Sheila & Arthur Commeau of Digby, N.S., sister-in-law Evelyn Hann and a large circle of cousins, nieces, nephews and many many friends. A special thank you to her two sisters Phyllis and Viola for all loving care and support given her for the past 18 months. Also for her visits and time spent with her loving sister Donna-Lee and her loving homecare giver Audrey Seaward. A big thank you to Nurse Kelly Hatcher for visits and support and encouragement. Visitation took place on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. The funeral service to celebrate her life took place at the Faith Pentecostal Tabernacle on Tuesday August 27th, 2013 2 p.m. with Pastor Jamie Warren officiating.
