DesROCHES, IRMA - 1926 - 2013 - Cocagne, NB – Irma DesRoches, 87, passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 after a sudden illness. Born in Moncton on July 6, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Georges and Alice (Després) Caissie. Irma will be sadly missed by her two sons, Maurille (Francine Surette) of Cocagne and Vincent (Murielle Melanson) of St-Antoine; her two daughters, Diane Goguen (John) of Ottawa, ON and Linda Williams (Eddy) of Cocagne; her daughter-in-law, Anne-Marie Chiasson of Ste-Anne-de-Kent; her three brothers, Donald (Alma Babineau), Roger (Carmella Cormier) and Normand (Thérèse Babineau) all of Cocagne; her three sisters, Gloria Boudreau (late Emery) of Memramcook, Georgeline Léger (late Yvon) of St-Antoine and Norma LeBlanc (Alain) of Dieppe; her two sisters-in-law, Elva Caissie (late Ulysse) and Florence Caissie (late David) both of Cocagne; her nine grandchildren; her seven great grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Willie; her son, Bernard; three brothers, David, Omer (late Géralda) and Ulysse; two infant brothers, Omer and Normand; one infant sister, Jeannine; and one great granddaughter, Stéphanie.
Visitation will be at the Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, August 29, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Friday, August 30, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. The funeral will be held at the St-Pierre de Cocagne RC Church on Friday, August 30 at 11 am. A donation to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
