JOHNSTON, HELEN - Mrs. Helen Johnston of Saint John passed away on August 28, 2013 at the age of 80. Born in Codys, she was the daughter of the late John and Marion Owens and the wife of the late Karrl Johnston who passed away in May. Helen is survived by her children: Harvey (Carolyn), Pamela Jennings (Albert), Karla Kilpatrick (Mike), John (Louise), Corey (Karen), Manford (Janet), Lyndon (Linda), Krista Daley (Mark), Newton (Lori), Allan (Cynthia), Matthew (Russ), Cliff (Tania) and Kristina Watters (Dale); three sisters: Cora Allen, Lynn Starkey and Dianne Potts, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Helen is predeceased by her son Gene, her brother Keith, her sister Olive and by her nephew Scott Dempster.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Friday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm. A service celebrating Helen’s life will be held from Sussex Baptist Church on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 10:00 am.
