Of Barrie, Ont., formerly of Angus, passed away peacefully at the IOOF Senior Citizen Homes, Barrie, on Sunday, September 7, 2008, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of “Jack” (John Sr.). Loving mother of John Jr. (Karen), Tom, Don, Flo (Ken Hord), Carolyn, Terry and Cathy Reid (Jim). Beloved sister of Tom. Cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Predeceased by sister, Flo, and brothers, Charles and Archie. Edith will be sadly missed by her many relatives and friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Steven R. Bridge Funeral Home, Angus, on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday, September 11, 2008, at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Royal Victoria Hospital Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
