STELLARTON – Donald (Donnie) A. Campbell, 58, of Stellarton, formerly of Trenton, died suddenly at home on Monday, September 9, 2013.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Mary Leona (Lonnie) and Malcolm Campbell.
He was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton. He was a boxer and trained at the Archie Moore Club in Trenton. He worked most of his life at Trenton Works and took great pride in driving his shunter.
He is survived by his four daughters: Sherri Slaunwhite (Stephen), Halifax; Tracy Campbell, Trenton; Lori Campbell, Thorburn; Jennifer Campbell, Stellarton; former wife, Hazel; sisters: Bonnie (Henry) Black, Sackville; Helen (David) Whynacht, Port Medway; Pat (Joanne) Campbell, Sydney; brothers: Sonny (Judy), Durham; John, Dartmouth, and Gary McNeil; six grandchildren; aunts, Helen and Ann; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Carol. He was a hard working man who cherished his family.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton, from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Family flowers only.
