It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harold Simon Rice announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday September 14, 2013 at the age of 73 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories daughter Tina Rice (Dave), granddaughters Melanie Rice (Devon), Heather Gillis (Blaine), companion Joyce Humphries, brother Raymond (Florence), sisters Dorothy (Don Gillingham) Bessie Dyer, Evelyn Norman, and also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents Sterling and Dinah, brothers Paul and Wallace, sister Mildred Stuckless, brothers-in-law William Stuckless, Edgar Dyer, Eric Norman, niece Paula Rice, and nephew Brian Dyer. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday September 17, 2013 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service will take place from the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday September 18, 2013 at 2 P.M., with Reverend Canon Roberta Woodman officiating. Cremation to follow and interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
