SMITH (Bleau), Annette Emma age 92, of Mankota, Saskatchewan passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Annette was born on June 26, 1921 in the Reliance District. She was the oldest child of 10 to Horace and Irene Bleau. Annette married Albert Smith in 1941. They lived on the family farm in Reliance where they raised their two children, Darcy and Deanna. They retired in 1975 and at this time they moved to Mankota. While living in Mankota, Annette displayed her amazing work ethic by her involvement in many jobs and organizations. She was a founding member of the Mankota Ranchettes and the Mankota Parks & Rec Board. Annette worked as a cook at the Paris Hotel along side her sister, Alice and her daughter, Deanna. In 2000, Albert passed away and Annette remained to live independently until 2008, when she moved to the Prairie View Health Center in Mankota. Annette will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. Annette is survived by her loving family, son Darcy (Loretta) Smith and their children Craig (Kendra), Rhett and Lane; Jason; Brad (Leslie), Kalena; Jennifer (Lyle) Straub, Josh; daughter Deanna (Melvin) Schafer and their children, Ryan (Roslyn), Cameron and Sarah; Cynthia (Randy) Lamontagne, Rachelle, Rebecca, Danielle; Blaine (Margaret), Kirsten Ratzlaff, Regan, Kaitlyn; sisters, Elaine Vandrunen and Irma (John) Kurtz; as well as many nieces and nephews. Annette was predeceased by: husband, Albert; parents, Horace and Irene; infant twins, Laurance and Lorraine; brothers, Don, Arthur, Orphil; sisters, Alice, Eva, Regonde, Madeline. Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., at the St. Albert Church in Mankota. Memorial Donations to the Prairie View Health Center Level 4 Activities were gratefully accepted by Annette's family. Lemieux Funeral Home, Ponteix, SK were entrusted with the arrangements.
