It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Margaret MacLeod on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Murrant) Boutilier.
She was a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Port Caledonia.
She is survived by her sons, Lorne (Annette) Boutilier, Brent (Corrie Carruthers), George (Tricia); daughter, Kathy (Billy Martin); grandchildren, Justin, Jeff, Andrea, Kayla, Ricky, Jorja; two great-grandchildren, Aliviah and Rylan.
Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, George, son, Barry, brothers, Anthony, Gordon, Willy, sisters-in-law, Norma, Claudine Boutilier, Margie and Lucy MacLeod.
She will be missed by her dog, Molly.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 20 at 2:30 p.m. in St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Port Caledonia. The Rev Vernon Reid will be officiating. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
