Jean-Paul Léger
LÉGER, JEAN-PAUL - Jean-Paul Léger, 79, of Moncton, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on July 2, 1934 in Shediac Bridge, he was the son of the late Clarence and Généva (Boudreau) Léger. Prior to his retirement in 1989, he was vice-president of Woolworth and Woolco in Canada. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alfreda "Freda" (Surette); three sons: Michel of Montréal, Daniel (Micheline) of Ste-Adèle, QC and Denis (Evelyne) of Corner Brook, NL; eight grandchildren: Charles, Marie-Lou, Derrick, John, Chris, Jenn, Jess and Christine; three sisters: Camilla (Maurice Bernard) of Clearwater, FL, Sr Odette Léger, ndsc, of Moncton and Sr Dolores Léger, sbc, of St-Jérôme, QC; two brothers: Ronald (Elaine) of Weeki Wachee, FL and Jean-Bertin (Hélène) of Clearwater, FL; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:15). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption, 220 St-George Street, Moncton, on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Saint-Anselme cemetery.
