The family wish to announce the passing of Anne (Kendall) Knox, 91 on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Anne was a lifelong resident of Glace Bay, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Winifred (Byrnes) Kendall.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Wallace (Susan), Alfie (Heather), Margie (Harold), Gloria (George), John (Kim), Linda (Jimmie Bennett – deceased), Jessie (Silby Smith – deceased), Norman (Mary), Jimmie (Thelma) Juanita, Janet, Glen (Rose) Heather, Harold (Margie). Also surviving are 37 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice, Kate, Willena; brother, Myles.
Besides her parents, Anne was predeceased by her husband, Clifford, son, William and four grandchildren, brother, Jake (Dit), sisters, Irene and Theresa.
Anne will be remembered by all who came to know her caring, loving and sharing nature.
Visitation for Anne Knox will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Warden United Church, Glace Bay, with Rev. Clayton Austin officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
