Delaney, Alberta May, 82, Bible Hill, Col. Co., passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Pleasant Hills, Col. Co. she was a daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (White) Welch. May was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Truro.
She is survived by sons Wayne of Bible Hill, William “Billy” of Bible Hill; grandchildren Karen, Steven, Jeff, Shannon; several great-grandchildren; sisters Minnie Murray of Truro, Evelyn White (Donald) of Toronto, ON, Helen Spencer (Aubrey) of Fernie, BC.
She was predeceased by her husband Hiram Delaney; son Wilfred; grandson Terry; brothers Elwin, Stanley, Ronald; sisters Lydia, Hattie, Florence, Muriel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, from where visitation will take place on Friday morning Sept. 27th from 9:30 to 10:30 am and where May will be transferred to Crossroads Cemetery, Valley for a graveside service to take place at 11am with Rev. Wayne Keddy officiating. Donations in May’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
