It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerard Griffin announce his passing in Greenwich, Nova Scotia on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the age of 83 years. He will be sadly missed by his son, Ross (Geraldine) of Port Williams, Nova Scotia, 2 daughters: Carolyn (Ronald) Kinsman of Cambridge, Nova Scotia, Allison Griffin of Oshawa, Ontario, 1 brother, Joseph (Eileen) of Corner Brook, 2 sisters: Gertrude Furlong of St. John’s, Mary Hobbs of Pasadena, 4 grandchildren: Andrew Kinsman (Lizzie) and their daughter Maya, Matthew Kinsman (Melissa), Connor Griffin, Michael Griffin, and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia, brother, Patrick, Anthony and sisters, Margaret and Kathleen. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, September 30th at 10:00 a.m. from St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with Interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville.
