Passed peacefully away at The Carbonear General Hospital, Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, Lloyd Charles Mercer, aged 71 years. Predeceased by parents: Norman and Florence Mercer, sister and brother-in-law, Rosalind and Roy Sheppard, brother-in-law Noel Dawe and father-in- law Thomas Baker. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories to celebrate his life with thanksgiving are, wife of 47 years, Sandra, daughter Lynette (Wilf Reid), son Peter (Michelle), granddaughter Erin, sisters: Norma Dawe, Audrey (Lloyd Adams), Marty (Neil Hillier) and brother Junior (Nora), as well as a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends, and Golden Arm Pond camping friends. Resting at Holloways Funeral Home, Whitbourne on Monday 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m., and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Whitbourne on Wednesday, October 2nd at 2:30. Internment to follow at St. John the Baptist Anglican Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Daffodil Place or H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
