1936-2008 John Philip Parry of Taber, Alberta, passed away at the Taber Hospital, with his family by his side, on Friday, August 29, 2008, at the age of 72 years. Phil is survived by his children, John (Sandra) of Charlottetown, Jody Cook of Taber, Jack (Lonni) of Denmark; grandchildren, Jordan, Jessica and Mitchell Cook, and John P. Parry; siblings, Nellie Ellingson of Taber, Margaret Lewis of Taber, and Elwyn (Clara) Parry of Nanaimo, B.C.; sisters-in-law, Florence (Don) Wonnacott of Charlottetown and Lois Norton of Charlottetown; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by many of his extended family and friends. Phil was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Kate Parry; his wife, Jean (nee MacLean) of Long Creek, P.E.I., in 1971; and wife Julie (nee Kerkhoff) of Taber in 2006; brother, Emrys of Taber; and brother-in-law, Fred Norton of Charlottetown. The funeral service was held at Knox United Church, Taber, on Tuesday, September 2, with Reverend Frank Lewis officiating. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
