It is with deep and profound sadness that we regretfully announce the passing of our beloved father Rudolph John on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 77 years. We the children Paul (Diane) Thistle and Michele “Shellie” Thistle (Halifax) mourn the loss of our wonderful father with a lifetime of love and happy memories. Loving grandfather to Kelli Margaret and Aaron John and dear brother to Edna (Bayouk) Thistle and brother-in-law to Joan Thistle, Albert, Frank and Paul Colbourne, Doris Wilcox and Elizabeth Wells. He also leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife Margaret “Margie” (nee Colbourne) in 1978, brother Guy Thistle, September 11, 2013, parents Cecil and Dorcas (nee Stone) and baby sister Sylvia. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. Harry Whitehorne officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Chemo Unit, Western Memorial Hospital.
