STEEVES, MABEL - Mabel Doris Steeves, 94, of Pleasant Vale, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on October 6, 2013. Born in Meadow, she was a daughter of the late Melville and Katie (nee Collier) Wilson. Mabel was a past member of the Hillside Baptist Church and the Women’s Institute in Elgin. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Breau (Leo-Paul) of Moncton; her son, Albert Steeves (Greta) of Pleasant Vale; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; as well as by many extended family members and friends. Besides her parents, Mabel was predeceased by her husband, George Steeves; her daughters: Sheila Steeves and Linda Stiles; and by her brothers: Talmage and Horace Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7 2013 from 6 to 8 pm; the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Pastor David Hawkesworth presiding, all in Armstrong’s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac. Interment will be held in the Hillside Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the Hillside Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
