CHARLTON, GERALDINE ALICE (WOODEN) - Geraldine passed away peacefully at the White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction, NB on Sunday, October 6, 2013. Born on July 17, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Dora Kirkpatrick and John Wooden and loving wife of the late Roy Charlton. Geraldine was a home maker to her family, she would be knitting, sewing, cooking or doing something helping her eight children. Her spare time she would read, volunteer at the Wirral Hospital Aid, UCW, Patterson Historical Society or always willing to help out at her church, Patterson United Church. Geraldine is survived by her daughter Rose (Laverne) MacGougan, five Sons; Tony Charlton, Danny (Vicki) Charlton, Darrel (Brenda) Charlton, Mark Charlton, Kelvin (Carol) Charlton, three sisters; Eva Ogden, Dorothy Tower, Doris Rice, one brother Albert Wooden, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by sons; Phillip and Ricky, sisters; Pearl Phillips, Marjorie McKenna, brother; Irvin Wooden and sister-in-law Hazel Wooden.
Resting at Sunbury Funeral Home with visiting hours on October 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on October 10 at 3:00 pm at Patterson United Church 6705, Route 101, Wirral NB. Interment will take place at Patterson United Church Cemetery, Hoyt, NB.
