HAYWARD, LAURA - Laura Hayward, nee Tatton, passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2013 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born September 30, 1924 in Nottingham, England, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Laura (Vine) Tatton. She married Merle Hayward (deceased 1968) and moved from Nottingham, England to Canada after WWII. Her family who predeceased her, Harold Tatton, Roy Tatton, Edna (Tatton) Streets, Sheila Tatton, Neil Tatton and Maurice Tatton, were always dear to her heart. She was the beloved mother of Melvin Hayward, Christopher Hayward and Kevin Hayward; mother-in-law to Madeline Hayward, Dale Hayward and Susan Hayward, and sister to Tony Tatton (Margaret). She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren April Hayward, Joshua Hayward, Katherine Youngs (Kurt) and Matthew Hayward and was a doting Grandnanny to Eve and Cassandra Youngs.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, October 10th, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be at St John’s Anglican Church, Oromocto, on Friday, October 11th, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Canon Walter Williams will officiate. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. As an active member of St. John’s Anglican Church in Oromocto the family requests, that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Saint John’s Anglican Church Building Fund. www.oromoctofh.com
