Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Walter Templeman Health Centre on October 7, 2013, Mary Emma Tobin (Long), age 81 years. Predeceased by her parents: Arthur and Jessie Long, her brother Hayward Long, and her adored cat, Luke. Leaving to mourn her husband, Edward P. Tobin; her sons: Carl Hansford (Brenda) and Paul Hansford (Jacquie); step-daughters: Arlene (Derek Rose) and Laverne Hutchings (Gord Whiteway); her sister Doris Long; her very special cousin and lifelong friend, Pearl Learning, and her seven grandchildren: Sarah and Michael Hansford, Damon Hansford, Jonathon and Christopher Rose, and Nathan and Brandon Hutchings. A very special thank you to Dr. Laurie and her team for their wonderful and compassionate care. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, October 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 pm to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
