COLLIER: Harold C. of Gull Lake, SK passed away October 2, 2013 at Gull Lake District Special Care Home at the age of 100 Years . The Funeral Service was held October 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from Knox United Church with Reverend Bev Diduck officiating. The organist was Sharon Dahl, pianist was Millie Spagrud. Special music was provided by Floyd Collier, Allan Collier, King Gin and by the Knox United and Community choir. A duet was performed by great granddaughters Danielle Santo and Dionne Quintin. The tribute to Harold's amazing life and honoring his 100 year history was given by daughter-in-law Lynette Collier. Following this, "Grandpa memories" which had been fondly collected by granddaughter Shannon Lonson were then shared by the following granddaughters: Sara, Naomi, Heather, Laura Collier. The ushers were nephews George White and Carl Collier of BC. The pallbearers were Laura Collier, Jody Collier, Brennan Collier, Trent Collier, Derek Collier and Wayne Spagrud. A delicious lunch was served after the service at the Elk's Hall provided by the Glad Heart UCW. Harold is survived by Millie (Oscar) Spagrud and family; Tammy (Rocky) Butts, Shannon (Gavin) Lonson, Tara (Steve) Metz , Wayne (Barb) Spagrud, and Brenda Spagrud: Del (Lynette) Collier and family; Sara (Sylvain) Naomi, Heather(Aaron)and Laura (Matt)and families: Don (Julie) Collier and family; Jennifer (Tyler), Jody (Annette), Krista (Rick) and families: Allan (Elaine) Collier and family; Trent (Danae), Brennan(Michelle), Derek (Kelsie)and family: Two sisters; Leota Steele of Medicine Hat, AB and Ilene (Fred) Peterson of Swift Current, SK. Harold was predeceased by his wife Mae Collier, grandson Trevor Collier and great grandson Tyler Spagrud; his brothers Cliff, Glen, Ray, Edgar and Herb; sisters Millie Gilchrist, and Louise White. Harold Cecil Collier was the third son born to Bert and Bertha Collier who farmed south of Gull Lake, SK. Harold attended Golden Sheaf Country School along with his nine siblings and spent his life farming. Harold was Lifetime member of the BPOE, Elks Lodge of Gull Lake. He was involved with the skating rink board, and the Knox United Church. Harold loved sports and watched his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren play hockey, figure skate, football, baseball, and curling. Harold was very community minded and also had a deep love of music. In his memory donations my made to Gull Lake Special Care Home Auxiliary, Autumn House Independant Living Facility or to the Knox United Church.
