The death occurred at Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, of Mary Catherine "Katie" Arsenault, aged 105 years, wife of the late Remi Arsenault. Born on October 7, 1908, in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (nee Gallant) Clements. Katie is survived by stepson Eddie, Moncton; and stepdaughters Alice, Ottawa, ON; Marie, QC, and Anita Penner, ON. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, brothers Simon, Patrick, Edmund; and sister Rose; stepdaughter Margaret; nieces and nephews: Joyce Dolan, James Clements, Della Dugay, Mae Corcoran, Arthur and Dan. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visitation on Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday until 9:45 a.m. Then to St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, Burton Lot 7, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mark's Cemetery. In memory of Katie, memorials to St. Mark's Cemetery Fund or Cancer Society would be appreciated.
