BERNARD, John Wallace, 75 of Falmouth, Hants County. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joseph “John” Wallace Bernard, on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on April 3, 1938, in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, he was the son of the late Emile Bernard; Mary Agnes MacDonald and step father, William MacDonald. John was a deep sea fisherman for many years in Eastern Passage. He moved to Windsor and was employed with MBB, Lakeside, and later worked with BioMedica Diagnostics Inc,, Windsor for the past twelve years. Everyone knows John for the maintenance and beautiful lawn care at BioMedica, which he took great pride in impressing Abby. John was also a member of the Annapolis Valley Harness Club, where he and his wife, Diane showed miniature horses. John and Rascal were a winning team. John is survived by his beloved wife of 12 years, the former Diane Berglund; sons, Stephen (Irene) Bernard in Alberta; Keith Bernard in Switzerland; daughter, Shirley in Switzerland; stepdaughters, Susan Lowe (Sam Parker), Brooklyn; Jenny Lowe (Anthony Horne), Enfield; Trish Lowe, Middleton; stepsons, John Lowe (Dawn) and Chris Lowe (Tracey), both of Eastern Passage. John has many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Aldine Brown, Brampton, Ont. He is also survived by stepsisters, Debbie, Donna, and Jenny; stepbrother, Douglas. Cremation has taken place under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. There will be no visitation by request. A private family service will be held at the later date.
